Our Mission & Vision

To provide and facilitate access to justice for low-income individuals and marginalized communities through advocacy and civil legal services.

We want a legal system that is accessible, fair and community centered.

What We Do

The Clark County Volunteer Lawyers Program (CCVLP) provides free civil legal aid to low-income and marginalized communities, ensuring everyone has access to justice and fair treatment under the law. While low-income individuals facing criminal charges are guaranteed a public defender, those dealing with civil legal issues—such as divorce, custody, domestic violence, or debt defense—are often left to navigate the system alone. For 35 years, volunteer attorneys have partnered with CCVLP to provide critical legal advice and support.

Our specialized staff attorneys offer legal guidance, brief services, and full representation to tenants facing eviction and survivors of domestic violence. More than 70 volunteer attorneys provide one-on-one legal advice and representation in family law, housing justice, general civil matters, immigration, and lay guardianship.

Beyond providing direct services, we recognize that the legal system has historically marginalized many of our clients—low-income individuals, people with disabilities, people of color, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. We work to challenge these inequities by equipping unrepresented individuals with the tools they need to navigate the courts and by calling out injustice wherever we see it.

Why Your Donation Matters

No one should lose their home or face an eviction record simply because they don’t know their rights. With legal support, tenants are far more likely to reach fair solutions that protect their stability.

Legal assistance is the key to breaking the cycle of domestic violence—empowering survivors to reclaim their safety, dignity, and autonomy. While 71% of low-income Washington residents face at least one civil legal issue, every survivor of domestic violence or sexual assault encounters life-altering legal challenges—averaging 20 per year.

Help ensure that everyone—regardless of income—has access to fair, equitable legal support. Donate today and stand with us in the fight for justice!
