Hello! I want to introduce myself as the 2024 Centrum board president and offer a very sincere thank you for being a part of creativity in community!

Over the 25 years my family has been in Port Townsend, we have amassed so many incredible Centrum memories—from “Free Friday” lawn concerts, to youth dance performances, to last year’s unforgettable 50th anniversary benefit with Grammy-winning jazz artist (and Centrum alum) Diana Krall. You no doubt have your own favorite memories—perhaps playing in a joyful multi-generational fiddle jam, volunteering for a chamber music event, or listening to soulful blues at a night in the clubs. It’s these special moments that illuminate our lives with the joy and creativity that we all need.

Centrum lights up our community and the world with the power of the arts like no other organization.

I am thrilled to see our talented faculty and staff gearing up for the 2024 season, and grateful every day to the supporters who make this possible. Quite simply, we can’t do it without you. I invite you to be the light by supporting the life-changing programs and enriching performances that bring so much culture and value to the community.

It’s supporters like you that make Centrum a place where creativity flourishes and lives are changed.

Each year, we strive to make a more vibrant and inclusive world by offering scholarships and fellowships and keeping tuition as affordable as possible for the artists of all ages who come to share their talents and passions with us. We count on the generosity of the community to be the light that keeps Centrum’s creative legacy shining for the next generation.
