Mission

The mission of the Bellevue Youth Theatre Foundation is to foster and support the Bellevue Youth Theatre program through increasing awareness, raising funds, and building community to enhance the experience of participants and audiences.

Description

The Bellevue Youth Theatre is a city-funded youth development program that utilizes the power of theatre to enhance the lives of young participants. BYT actively works to dismantle barriers to access and participation by creating a safe and inclusive community in which everyone who auditions receives a role.  In addition, BYT provides opportunities for all regardless of race, ethnicity, sex, gender identity or socio-economic status while also working to support neurodivergent and disabled participants.

The Bellevue Youth Theatre Foundation was created to ensure the goals of BYT’s programs are robustly supported by providing volunteers, fundraising and community outreach and events.
