American Red Cross - Northwest Region

A nonprofit organization

Mission

The American Red Cross prevents and alleviates suffering in the face of emergencies by mobilizing the power of volunteers and the generosity of donors.

Deliver Help and Hope

Every year, the American Red Cross responds to about 65,000 disasters, including more than 1,000 here in the Northwest Region, delivering help, hope, and healing to hundreds of thousands of people in need.

But as the climate crisis intensifies, so do the disasters. Stronger hurricanes, heavier rainfall, higher temperatures, and historic wildfires are affecting more people than ever before. The Red Cross is now launching nearly twice as many relief operations for major disasters than we did a decade ago.

Ready to Respond—All Day, Every Day, Whenever Someone Needs Us

As a local, community-based organization with a national network of support, the Red Cross is on the ground in every corner of the country, prepared to act at a moment’s notice. Our teams provide:

Safe shelters for families—including pets

Hot meals, health services, and emotional support

Emergency relief supplies for devastated neighborhoods

Financial assistance to help survivors rebuild

Your Support Saves Lives

With disasters becoming more frequent and severe, we are growing our capacity and adapting our mission to better serve affected families and communities.

Your gift to American Red Cross Disaster Relief will help us sustain and strengthen our ability to respond to crises when help can’t wait. Here in the Northwest and across the country, your donation will be at work every day, turning despair into hope
