Mission

To encourage and promote both passive and active participation in all forms of the arts by the citizens of the area for the enrichment of the community.

We envision a sustainable creative platform that provides opportunities for artists, engages community, encourages dialogue, and creates a distinct sense of belonging… for the Love of Kenmore!

Arts of Kenmore is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, providing Kenmore residents, artists, and arts organizations with the services, resources, and opportunities they need to forge their own paths to sustainable success.

AOK is a dedicated Creative Placemaker in Kenmore, Washington, employing multi-faceted approaches to the planning, design and management of equitable arts and culture in the public realm. AOK collaborates with the City and community partners to integrate projects and initiatives that reflect the interests of our community. 

Ad-Hoc Arts Commission - AOK plays a critical role for the City of Kenmore supporting sustainable appropriations of the City's Public Arts Fund integrating public art in infrastructural development. 

Fiscal Sponsorship Umbrella - AOK provides fiscal oversight and project management to small organizations and community-driven initiatives that steer the vision of a Creative District in Kenmore. Under the AOK Umbrella, local ideations become reality as giant Love Notes that beautify our neighborhoods, engage art appreciation, become landmarks, advocate social issues, and tell the greater story of our community.

Our partnership with the City's "For the Love of Kenmore" campaign inspires Love Notes all around town. Current and past beneficiaries include As If Theatre Company, PopUp StoryWalk, Kenmore Mural Project at St Vincent de Paul, Legends Bench at Rhododendron Park, PRIDE installation at City Hall, and Salmon Conservation Mural at Logboom Park.
