What is Washington Gives?
Washington Gives is an online giving platform that helps individuals, groups, and businesses to discover and donate to nonprofits headquartered or serving Washington State.
Each year Washington Gives hosts two fundraising campaigns:
- GiveBIG: A Washington-focused campaign that kicks off April 23, and culminates on May 7-8, 2024!
- GivingTuesday: An international campaign that is always the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving. This year it's December 3, 2024.
We believe in:
- Turning passion into results: Everyone is passionate about something, but many don't know how to turn that passion into impact. Washington Gives helps people find and give to causes they care about.
- Supporting small nonprofits: Washington Gives provides a low-cost way to fundraise online and reach new supporters across the state.
- Raising needed funds: We provide nonprofits of all sizes training, resources, and an extensive multimedia promotional campaign to build on their strengths and supporters' passions.
Nonprofits do the work that enriches our lives, providing human services, keeping our spirits high with art and creativity, and fighting for equity and social justice. By working together, we can all support this vital work that brings hope, health, and happiness to people and communities across Washington!

Washington Gives is powered by 501 Commons, a 501c3 tax-exempt charitable organization that provides 30+ services that amplify the strengths of nonprofits, including finance, HR, technology, data solutions, board development, planning, leadership development, events and training, and free information and referral services.
For more than 30 years, has offered innovative solutions and expertise, working in partnership with the nonprofit community.

- Mightycause is a mission driven, employee-owned business that has served the nonprofit community since 2006. They have supported over 150,000 causes and partner with hundreds of community-led giving days like GiveBIG!
- Encore Media Group is a family-owned media and creative services company that connects businesses and brands with arts audiences and consumers in Seattle and the Bay Area.
- GivingTuesday is an annual global generosity movement that unleashes the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.
